The first time I came home was through San
Francisco. People there had flowers in their
hair. But no one welcomed me to San Francisco. They looked at me as if they didn’t care.
Returning home from a drawn out war in Asia. Helping
other people to be free. We could have won that noble war in Asia. But some folks over here wouldn’t
let it be.
Other troops came home through San Francisco.
Never got the thank you they deserved. Seems there is no heart in San Francisco. And that Golden Gate’s
not shiny anymore.
